No its not really anything different but rather a new approach one that with the cost of education could catch on. Getting Certificates for the work you do and at some point get the degree or not. Weeds out class you don't need and can be done over years. To get the actual degree you may have to take those classes but if you get a job it may be all you needed at a fraction of the cost.
